Utatsusaurus, Romance of Triassic Period
It was found by a professor of Tohoku University an ichthyosaur which named “Utatsusaurus” around the coast of Utatsu in Minami Sanriku.
It was found also in Ogatsu town of Miyagi prefecture and in British Columbia of Canada as fossils of Triassic period of 300 millions years ago.
It is long 1.4m to 4m.
Utatsu is a small town north of Shizugawa in Minami Sanriku.
Here also was disastered by tsunami of 5 years ago.
This is the rail station of Utatsu before tsunami.
Utatsusaurus is displayed in National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo also.
It is issued a friendly booklet of Utatsusaurus for kids.
