One day in mid-January, I went to Wakuya Castle Ruins Shiroyama Park.
<Wakuya Castle Ruins>
The ruins of Wakuya Castle are called Shiroyama Park, and are known as a famous place for cherry blossoms with cherry blossom trees planted. Next to the corner turret (Taikodo), there is a Wakuya Municipal Historical Museum (actually Wakuya Castle is Hirayama Castle) that imitates the castle tower. Excavated items from Wakuya are on display.
As I proceeded through Shiroyama Park, camellia flowers were in bloom on my right.
Proceeding further, you will find the red balustrade bridge.
The pond is frozen.
And beyond that, there is Wakuya Shrine.
Go through the torii gate and head to the shrine.
On the offering box(Osaisenbako), there was a panel of the zodiac signs of the year of the tiger.
On the right side, you can see many votive tablets(Ema) hanging. A wish is written.
Castle from a different angle.
The castle at night is floating in the light.
The snowy Eai River that flows beside the park is also beautiful.

This time, I went to Yokoyama Fudoson, which is close to our hotel, for "the first visit of the new year". I pray for the safety and happiness of the year. Yokoyama Fudoson is one of Japan's three major Fudosons and is a nationally designated important cultural property. This area is designated as Minami Sanriku Kinkazan National Monument.
Fudoson is a Buddhist object of worship and is one of the esoteric Buddhist priests.
It was a little chilly day with snow still remaining on the ground, and I was able to pray with a feelings of tightening.
After passing through the torii gate, you will find the mountain gate.
Nio statues are enshrined on the left and right of the gate.
The main hall is on the other side of the pond.
In the main hall, a wooden Fudo Myo, which is said to be made by Kobo Daishi, a nationally designated important cultural property, is enshrined and has a golden statue in its womb.
The tower is unique for bronze construction in the Edo period, and its casting technology is highly evaluated (prefectural important cultural property).
Yakushinyorai (buddha able to cure all ills)
Benzaiten (goddess of music、eloquence、also wealth and water)
On the way there are information boards here and there !

Dazzling illuminations have appeared this year in the so-called "Triangle Park" in the city of Yamoto, Higashimatsushima City.
Yamoto in Higashi Matsushima City is where the Air Self-Defense Force Matsushima Air Base, which is the base of Blue Impulse, is located.
As you can see, the Blue Impulse is flying.
The illuminations of Triangle Park look different depending on the viewing direction.
Is it a reindeer !?
The Eiffel Tower can be seen in the middle ...
Some manholes on Blue Impulse Street are covered with Blue Impulse specifications.
A blue post completed by painting a mailbox in the city with "blue" named after Blue Impulse. There are 4 locations in the city, including in front of JR Yamoto Station, so please look for them.
